Amy

Amy came to Yoga 10 years ago while searching for a way to reduce stress and connect back in with herself. As a Psychology teacher in high schools for the past 15 years, alongside caring for two children, she is all too familiar with the ‘busyness’ of modern life.

Amy trained with The British Wheel of Yoga, supervised by Elaine Fletcher and Kari Knight, undertaking a 300-hour qualification, which included all aspects of yoga and yogic philosophy. After teaching for a couple of years, Amy decided to extend her knowledge of Women’s Health through a 220-hour Women’s Yoga Therapy training with the amazing Uma Dinsmore-Tuli. Amy loves to make yoga accessible to all and is a true believer that everyone can benefit from having a yoga practice. As a committed lifelong learner Amy loves to read and study all aspects of yoga and is regularly undertaking workshops to extend her skills. These include functional yoga workshops with Peter Blackaby, Kundalini breathwork with Carolyn Cowan and the ‘un-f**k your body’ series with Jambo Dragon to name but a few. Her favourite practices include, yin, restorative yoga, yoga nidra and is spending an increasing amount of time working with kundalini yoga and breathwork practices. Amy weaves her knowledge of Psychology and mental health and well-being into all her offerings.
