Fleur

Engagement with meditative movement practices began when Fleur started Shotokan karate aged 7, receiving her black belt aged 14. By 20, she was regularly practicing a variety of yoga styles including Kriya yoga and Bhakti yoga.

Having her son inspired her to deepen her connection to her inner teacher and she undertook a 200-hr Breath Based Hatha Yoga training. She came to Suffolk Yoga to try a class in early 2023, found kindred spirits and new friends and is now regularly teaching her popular Wednesday and Friday morning classes. She is currently enjoying a 300-hr teacher training in Advanced Hatha, Pranayama, Yin and Meditation.

She continues to be delighted how combining yoga with breathwork can be life changing and transformational and is passionate about sharing this with her students.

She loves how breath can be the vehicle we take on our journey inwards but is also the force that connects us to all of life and everyone around us. This continually informs her approach to teaching. With the breath as the guide Fleur believes that individuals can experience a practice that is unique to them. No two bodies are alike, or as Bessel Van der Kolk puts it “The body keeps the score”. Therefore, she welcomes all individual expressions of the shapes of yoga. If you are breathing, yoga is accessible to you!
