Once upon a time, in the midst of university stress, Kat discovered her secret weapon: yoga! But it wasn't just the poses that kept her going; it was the welcoming yoga community she stumbled upon. Fast forward to a year after graduation and Kat's wild dreams collided with her passion for yoga. She hopped on a plane to India, ready for an unforgettable solo adventure and a chance to dive deeper into her practice at a 200-hour Yoga Alliance Certified Vinyasa Yoga Teacher Training in Rishikesh. Teaching yoga? Not even on her radar! But life had other plans for Kat…

Back in sunny Suffolk, in the summer of 2018, she found herself giving free beach yoga classes in Felixstowe. Who could resist stretching and flowing accompanied by the sounds of waves? As the seasons changed, Kat's yoga crew grew. With a devoted group of regulars, she upgraded to a community hall and expanded her class schedule, taking the yoga love to Ipswich and beyond.

Then, dun dun dun, the pandemic struck. Like a yoga pose gone awry, Covid forced Kat to scale back her teaching gigs. But fear not! She happily kept the class at Suffolk Yoga, where she discovered a network of supportive teachers and lovely students after joining the studio in August 2020. Yoga found a way to thrive even in challenging times!

When Kat teaches, she adds a playful and exploratory element to her style. She encourages her students to approach their practice with curiosity and a spirit of adventure. Her aim is to create a nurturing space for self-discovery, where people can give themselves permission to pause and reconnect with themselves and the world around them.
